Pregnancy Books

Here are the pregnancy books I am using/find useful:
1) Your Pregnancy: week to week by Glade B. Curtis, M.D., M,P,H. and Judith Schuler, M.S.

Your Pregnancy Week by Week [Book]
-This is super detailed and is just a week to week book.  It has exercises for each week and talks about all medical conditions you or your baby could face and also tests your doctor may ask you about.  It is very thorough and informative.
2) Pregnancy Childbirth and the Newborn: The Complete Guide by Penny Simkin, PT, Janet Whalley, RN, IBCLC, Ann Keppler, RN, MN, Janelle Durham, MSW, ICCE, LCCE, and April Bolding, PT, DPT, CD, CCE.
Pregnancy, Childbirth, and the Newborn (4th Edition): The Complete Guide [Book]
   -  This I consider a must have.  I have the 4th edition.  1/3 is on pregnancy, 1/3 is on labor, and 1/3 is for after the baby arrives.  It is SUPER informative and I HIGHLY recommend getting a copy.

  1. It will take you some time to search for insurance for pregnancy to find a policy that meets your financial needs. It is advisable to plan ahead, not necessarily to plan a pregnancy, but to plan for the event of a pregnancy so that you have the coverage in place when it does happen. If you have health coverage under your employer's plan you should inquire whether it has maternity coverage. It may be cheaper for you to buy into extra coverage under this plan than it is to take out private health insurance for this purpose.
